Currently The Ediths are involved in W³: An interdisciplinary inquiry that focuses on children’s relations with waste, water, and weather relations. These projects are being conducted in partnership with Art Gallery Western Australia (AGWA), Unicare, and across several early years learning settings in the Perth region. We have funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Canada  (SSHRC) and the Impact/Perpetual Philanthropic Fund, Australia.

Children’s Relations with Waste

This interdisciplinary project investigates how children become active agents in creatively and critically confronting the complex waste problems that threaten their future.

This project is being undertaken by a group of educators and researchers who are walking-with Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River). We are documenting children’s relations with water and are interested in generating climate change pedagogies.

Conversations with Rain is a project situated at the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA). A partnership between ECU School of Education and AGWA sees us in creative conversations with rain through workshops of accumulating responsive and embodied experiences.
